ACTING & AUTHENTICITY COACHING

Stop Performing. Start Being.

For over thirty years, I have helped people uncover the truth beneath the performance.

As a professional actor trained at The Juilliard School, I spent years on stage and screen learning what great acting is really about. Contrary to popular belief, acting isn't pretending.
It's telling the truth.
Whether you're an actor preparing for an audition, a student finding your confidence, a speaker stepping onto a stage, or simply someone longing to express yourself more authentically, the work is the same.

About Claire

I’m Claire Lautier, a Juilliard-trained actor, singer, and coach with over 25 years of professional experience in theatre, film, and television. I’ve performed with world-class companies including the Stratford Festival of Canada, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C.

In addition to my work as a performer, I’m a certified life coach and have spent the past seven years helping people develop confidence, presence, and authentic self-expression. I love working with actors and aspiring actors because I understand how you think, feel, and function — I am one.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, working on monologues or scenes, developing your voice and presence, or simply exploring acting for the first time, I bring a supportive, insightful approach that helps you connect more deeply to your truth as a performer.

I’ve coached professionals, students, executives, and young actors alike. My lessons are a supportive, encouraging space where you can explore, take risks, and grow as a performer. My work integrates technical craft with a deeper understanding of presence and creativity, helping you bring your full light and authenticity into your performance.

I have 7 years of teaching and coaching experience, and more than that, I have the life experience to back it up. My specialty is in being able to hold space for you to relax, be yourself, explore, fail and discover something deeper in yourself that is authentically you. There's nothing more compelling than that.

Acting isn’t about pretending — it’s about discovering the truth of who you are and bringing that truth to life on stage or screen.

What My Students

Are Saying

Kyla

I’ve taken acting classes before but Claire’s approach is the best one I’ve experienced. I can fully understand everything she’s explaining, and I can feel a major improvement in my acting in just a few weeks of classes. :)

Roshni

Claire does not only teach acting but the deep fundamentals within acting. I am a beginner myself, and Claire teaches me how to work with energies and different roles. I am glad I have her as my teacher, highly recommended!

Teiran

Claire has been helping me prepare monologues for auditions to some of the top acting programs in the United States, and even after just a few lessons, I can clearly see and feel the difference in my work. Claire’s rich acting experience is very clear in the way she teaches. She doesn’t just explain ideas theoretically; she helps you explore them practically, in the work itself. Many teachers can talk about acting, but Claire actually helps you do it. What is amazing is that you can literally notice progress during the lesson itself. At the same time, she creates such a comfortable and warm atmosphere that the lessons never feel stressful. Her calm, grounding energy, sense of humor, and kindness make the process genuinely enjoyable. The only downside is that time goes by far too quickly. I first started with one-hour lessons, but soon realized I wanted two hours, because the work is so deep and useful that I always want more time. I also really appreciate the way Claire gives encouragement. Her compliments never feel empty or automatic — they feel honest, specific, and meaningful. For someone preparing for such competitive auditions, that kind of support is psychologically very important. Her words have helped me believe in myself more, and that has made a real difference in my process. I’m very grateful to be working with Claire, and I absolutely plan to continue. The day I have a lesson with her is honestly one of the best days of my week.
