I remember high school sex ed class.
It consisted of some anatomical drawings of male and female parts and how they fit together to propagate the human species.
It was dry and scientific, served with a side dish of fear – warnings about the diseases we could catch and how we could ruin our lives if we engaged in this thing they were teaching us about.
There was no mention of the sacred.
Funny how close those words are – sacred, and scared. You’re just a typo away from a whole different paradigm.
Could there be a reason we’re taught to be scared instead of sacred when it comes to sexual energy?
Actually, that's just a rhetorical question. We KNOW there's a reason!
They don't want you to know your own power.

Charlotte Gowdy has trained extensively in the realms of sexuality and spirituality, through the lenses of Tantra, Taoism and Kundalini yoga. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor and an international teacher of clowning, improvisation and playfulness. She is a published poet, campfire fiddler, cold-water swimmer and a wild-woman who is living her dream life. She splits her time between the French Alps and a sea-side cottage on the East coast of Canada.
Coming out of a wonderful 25-year career as a theatre actor and director, including seasons at Shaw Festival, Stratford Festival, and Canadian Stage, Charlotte has had the good fortune of teaching and coaching at colleges and universities across the globe, including in North America, Europe and South America.
